The 2026 Tucson Gem Show: A Real-World Guide for First-Timers (and Regulars)
If you’ve never been to the Tucson Gem Show before, the first thing to understand is this: there is no single “Tucson Gem Show.”
What people call the gem show is actually 50+ independent shows spread all over the city, running for almost three weeks. They pop up in hotels, parking lots, sports complexes, warehouses, and even open desert spaces. On any given day, you could be standing in a luxury hotel courtyard looking at museum-quality minerals… and ten minutes later be digging through crates of rough in a dusty tent with dealers from Madagascar, Brazil, and Pakistan.
It’s overwhelming in the best possible way.
To make it manageable, I’ve created a custom Google Map with all major shows, parking areas, and shuttle stops so you can plan your days visually and not spend half your trip lost in traffic.

How To Use the Tucson Map
This is where the custom Tucson Google Map matters.
Instead of trying to memorize addresses, you can:
- See which shows cluster together
- Find parking once and walk or shuttle
- Plan one “area” per day (Downtown, Kino, Oracle Rd, 22nd Street)
That map alone will save you hours of driving and frustration.
Tucson during gem show season isn’t just shopping — it’s a strange, beautiful temporary city of collectors, artists, scientists, dealers, and obsessives from all over the world.
And once you go once, you usually end up coming back every year.
