Colors of the Stone/To Bead True Blue Artisan Workshops
Dates: January 31 to February 7, 2026

Colors of the Stone/To Bead True Blue is one of the largest hands-on learning events during gem show season. Hundreds of workshops are offered in jewelry making, bead design, wirework, metal clay, enameling, mixed media, and crystal setting.Â
Classes are taught by professional artists and makers. Beginners and advanced students are welcome. Public admission and parking are free.
SNAG at Tucson Society of North American Goldsmiths
Dates: February 5 to February 7, 2026
Location: 192 S Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701
SNAG at Tucson is a special event focused on metalsmithing and jewelry techniques. Attendees can watch live demonstrations, learn about tools and materials, and talk directly with working artists. This is one of the only education focused metals events during gem show season.
Faceters Paradise and Ultra Tec Faceting Machine Demos
Dates: January 26 to February 4, 2026 and February 9 to February 11, 2026
Location: 3118 N Dale Ave. Tucson, AZ, 85712
Faceters Paradise is a must-visit stop for anyone curious about gemstone faceting. Visitors can watch live cutting demonstrations and even sit down at Ultra Tec faceting machines to try them.
Experts are available to explain techniques, machine setup, laps, and polishing methods. Lapidary tools, accessories, and supplies are also available for learning and purchase.
United States Faceters Guild Tucson Faceting Symposium
Dates: February 5 to February 7, 2026
Location: Old Pueblo Lapidary Club, 3118 N Dale Ave, Tucson, AZ 85712
The USFG symposium brings together gem cutters from around the world. Attendees can watch live faceting demonstrations, learn advanced cutting techniques, and talk with experienced faceters. Some paid classes may be offered, but the main demonstrations are free and open to the public.Â
Tucson Gem and Mineral Show
Dates: February 12 to February 15, 2026
Location: Tucson Convention Center, 260 S Church Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701 ($15 entry fee)
The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show is the flagship event of the season. In addition to world-class mineral exhibits, the show features educational displays, geology and gemology talks, junior education areas, and interactive science demonstrations. It is one of the best places to learn about the natural history behind the stones.
